Lamanya tak update kat ruangan Catatan Santai ni ya. Maklumlah sejak dua menjak kita kena duduk rumah je di kala musim pandemic Covid-19 begini memang terbatas lah segala aktiviti kat luar. Nak keluar pun takut.

So for my eldest daughter Alia punya birthday last August 10^th, kami buat makan-makan kat rumah je – tak de lah dapat nak pergi makan-makan kat luar seperti yang biasa kami buat.

In fact, birthday celebration pun buat ala-ala kadar je siap tak de surprise apa pun. The simplest birthday ever.

Siang-siang lagi Kak Yan dah tanya birthday girl dia nak makan apa for her birthday. So apa yang dia nak tulah yang Kak Yan masakkan. Tak perlu nak stress tak tahu nak masak apa.

So for Alia’s 27^th birthday, the dinner features broccoli soup as a starter, steak (medium rare all the way) with mixed vegetable on the side as the mains and ada extra Quiche Tuna kot-kot ada sesapa yang masih lapar lagik.

As for the birthday cake, birthday girl tempah and beli sendiri her desired gluten-free chocolate cake. Actually, Alia and Asma are on gluten-free diet nowadays. So Quiche yang Kak Yan baked tu pun guna gluten-free flour jugaklah kejadiannya.

In addition, Kak Yan beli jugak a few slices of cakes from Kooky Cream Bakery untuk yang tak kisah pun pasal gluten-free nih. Lepas tu, Alia’s cousin Safia jugak gifted her one whole peanut butter brownie. Lama-lama meriah jugak dengan dessert jadinya. Alhamdulillah.

So for Alia, here’s my birthday wish for you:
